Leaders of Five States to Take Part in the EEF-2018 Plenary Session

The central event of the fourth Eastern Economic Forum will be the plenary session "Far East: Expanding the Limits of Opportunities". It will be attended by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Abe, and Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Lee Nak-yeon.

The participants of the plenary session will discuss the key issues of international cooperation between Russia and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

The moderator of the discussion will be Sergei Briljov, the TV presenter, deputy director of the STC “Channel Rossiya”, president of the Institute of Bering-Bellingshausen on the Study of Both Americas (Instituto Bering-Bellingshausen para las Américas, IBBA)

On the eve of the Forum Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants of the EEF-2018. The head of State noted that the Forum had become a popular platform for direct dialogue between politicians and public figures, businessmen and experts, and stressed that this year the event will be attended by representative delegations from more than sixty countries.

According to the Russian national leader, the theme of the current meeting - “Far East: Expanding the Limits of Opportunities” - reflects the desire for closer integration of Russia into the system of economic relations in the huge Asia-Pacific space.

The Eastern Economic Forum will be held on September 11-13 in Vladivostok. The EEF business program includes 70 events. The program has panel sessions, business dialogues, business breakfasts, and round tables. Traditionally, the central event of the Forum will be the plenary session with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
